We`ve had a string of little boys in the studio (6) so it was kinda fun to be able to break out the soft pink and purples for Abigail`s shoot. Sometimes I wonder how I got lucky enough to play dress up with babies as a job. <3
This little cowboy is Lawson, and he goes by Law, which is why I had the lyrics "I fought the law and the law won,
I fought the law and the law won" running though my head the whole shoot. (Just the lyrics, obviously. I do not fight babies and he was such a gentleman and did all the poses we asked him to try. 😆)
I`ve photographed a lot of babies and very seldom do I shoot one with as much hair (with natural highlights!) as Roman. Just a stunning little man.
This scrumptious guy is Emiliano and I just couldn`t get enough of him. The cutest little guy!
Extended family sessions are always a gamble. Will someone oversleep? Will someone forget pants? Will we spend thirty minutes finding cowboy boots? Will the weather suddenly decide to behave like a feral toddler? Who knows.
But this family? They rolled up at 8am ON TIME, fully dressed in the outfits I styled, children fed, everyone smiling. Which means they are now legally my favorite.
We shot for a full ninety minutes and the kids never complained. Not once. And if you’re wondering who the star of the show was, it was Kenzie in her hat, posing like she was born for the big stage. I didn’t have to direct her. She just did things.
Ten out of ten morning. Highly recommend more families copy this energy.
